I was feeling sorry for myself for a little while, what with being alone in my apartment, my family all the way accross the country, and people I know and tolerate elsewhere. We had a Greek Navy nurse work with us for 4 months, training and seeing how the US hospital system works.  She says we are at least 30 years ahead of the Greeks in technology.  And we have a completely different way of life. In Greece and Europe in general, they are not driven by certifications, and awards and competencies and ranks.  People know each other, and know their skill level, and there's no need to prove or flaunt it. Will I be exponentially repaid in joy when I receive the camera and all its extra accesories in the mail on Christmas day?  Will I care that I just blew that much money?
